These paintings represent some interpretations of my journey, both literal and spiritual, to Antarctica. I was able to go “South” in 1997 for a short period of time. Before I left and for many years after, I dreamt about painting watercolors of icebergs and the Antarctic landscape. I was able to bring my watercolors with me and completed a few small works while I was there, but time was short and I had to get back to my real job and real life. Luckily, I took many photos and, in the back of my head, knew that someday I would get back to them.

I have already exhibited several paintings in Boston, Hyde Park, Roslindale, Concord and Brookline.
